Pilates for Rowers Virtual Class

These principles sound familiar to most rowers. In fact, these are also some of the core principles in Pilates. Pilates is a series of low impact exercises that builds core and extremity muscle strength, endurance, and flexibility. Emphasis is on precision and quality of movement while breathing is used to facilitate correct movement patterns and connect mind to the body. Concentration and control throughout the exercise can improve body awareness for daily activities and optimize performance for sports. Rowers of all ages and levels can benefit from Pilates as a complement to their current training program.
This 55-minute class will feature fundamental Pilates movements and the traditional repertoire of Pilates mat exercise with rower focused movements and modifications. Level is beginner to intermediate.
